Lourens Swanepoel is an accomplished Transport Economist with over 35 years of experience, specialising in public transport operations. He has significant expertise in local government (20 years), transport consultancy (14 years), and bus operations management (8 years combined).

Lourens has in-depth knowledge of municipal finance and systems legislation and has held senior roles such as Director of Public Transport at the City of Ekurhuleni and Board Member in establishing the Brakpan Bus Company. He has also worked as a consultant on projects across all government spheres and lectured on transport economics at university level.
